How places are offered

2027-28 policy: places are ranked by "a girl's ability as indicated by her combined score in the age-eleven assessment"; "Tonbridge Grammar School sets no tests of its own for applicants at this stage of entry." No fixed minimum score is published in the policy.

Up to 135 Area places for girls living in Tonbridge & Malling, Tunbridge Wells or Sevenoaks council areas, 30 Trustee places for girls living elsewhere, and 15 Pupil Premium places allocated by distance. The former "Governors' places" are now called Trustee places.

A higher Kent Test score gives priority for a place here.

Admission rules change each year. Always read the school's current admissions policy before you apply.
