How places are offered
KCC 2027/28 arrangements: "Entry to the school is through the Kent Assessment Procedure"; applicants "must reach the required standard in the Kent Test". No higher score is required for Year 7.
Kent County Council is the admission authority, so the policy sits in KCC's arrangements rather than a school document. Oversubscription order: looked-after children, sibling, health/special access, Pupil Premium, then distance.
Check with the school
Admission rules change each year. Always read the school's current admissions policy before you apply.
Facts on this page were checked in October 2026 against the school's published admission arrangements and Kent County Council. MeritLeap is not connected with this school.
About the test
Most Kent grammar schools use the Kent Test, taken at the start of Year 6.
